I love words.
I love reading words.
I love writing words.
I love words lists.
I love words in funky fonts.
I have a thing for words.
This year, I am trying to get my girls to develop a similar appreciation for words and we are making word lists: a favorite list of short words and a favorite list of long words. Shoot, we might even add a favorite list of made-up words, which my husband says is one of the things I do best without even knowing it. Sometimes I speak words into existence that have no right to be there, but in my mind, they are solid, dictionary-defined words. Oh well! They are words, none the less. Just think: J.k. Rowling has made a living off of made-up words.
So, because words are taking a front-seat in our learning day this year, I thought I would start a word list for my blog as well.
So, here we go. The first word is:
Every post in my Wait. . . What? Series thus far has been about God’s amazing provision.
This word acts as both a noun and a verb.
As a noun, it might be used like this: God’s provision for us is undeniable.
As a verb, it might be used like this: God was provisioning Elijah when he ordered the ravens to deliver bread and meat to him twice each day.
Either way, it is a great word! If you are interested in keeping a word list, you might want to include this one.
